Mission Statement

Nonprofit Harm Reduction & Outreach | Savannah, GA

The Jeffery Alan Mitchell Medical Foundation (JAMMF) is a nonprofit medical initiative founded in memory of Jeffery Mitchell, whose life continues to inspire our commitment to service.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between harm reduction and acute care by meeting people where they are and delivering resources that save lives. We believe that health and dignity should never be out of reach, especially for those facing housing insecurity, substance use, or barriers to care.

Through outreach, education, and compassionate services, we bring practical medical tools, evidence-based harm reduction supplies, and human connection to underserved communities. By combining clinical knowledge with grassroots action, we create pathways to safer choices, healthier outcomes, and stronger communities.

Preloaded naloxone — Makes the injectable form more approachable and pragmatic during emergencies.

Step-by-step guidance — Clear instructions make it easier for rescuers to administer naloxone correctly in high-stress situations.

Sterile technique supplies — Alcohol swabs and hand sanitizer ensure safer, cleaner administration in field conditions.

Good Samaritan Law reminder — Reinforces or quickly informs the rescuer that they are protected from legal liability when acting in good faith.

What Sets Us Apart

At JAMMF, we believe that distributing supplies is not enough. Every item we provide must be designed to be safe, practical, and effective in the real-world conditions where people will use them. That is why we apply clinical knowledge to every kit we assemble — from the way naloxone is packaged, to the inclusion of sterile supplies, to the step-by-step guidance that helps rescuers act with confidence in moments of crisis.

This approach ensures that life-saving tools aren’t just available, but approachable and ready for use by anyone, regardless of medical training. By pairing professional medical insight with the accessibility of harm reduction outreach, we bridge the gap between emergency medicine and community need.

Our goal is simple: to make sure that when an emergency happens, the right tools are in the right hands, in the right form, at the right time.
